Niki Leondakis
Equinox Holdings has hired Niki Leondakis as CEO of Equinox
Fitness Clubs.
Leondakis will oversee 86 Equinox fitness clubs
worldwide, and will lead the company as it prepares to open the first Equinox hotel,
in Manhattan's Hudson Yards in 2019.
She succeeds Harvey Spevak, who becomes executive chairman
of Equinox Holdings.
Leondakis comes to Equinox from Two Roads Hospitality, where
she was CEO of the company's hotel and resort operations.
Leondakis joined what was known as Commune Hotels &
Resorts in 2012 after serving as president of Kimpton Hotels and Restaurants.
Commune, whose divisions include Thompson Hotels and Joie de
Vivre, merged with Destination Hotels last year, and the combined company was
subsequently named Two Roads Hospitality.
