The Fairmont Washington, D.C., has completed a $27 million renovation, which included improvements to its public areas and 413 guestrooms.

The rooms now include a chaise-and-table combination that can be converted to a working space as well as custom-built lounge chairs. The property also increased its number of specialty suites from five to seven.

The hotel's amphitheater has been transformed into the 2,900-square-foot Kennedy Ballroom, while the property's courtyard has been flattened to accommodate more people and allow for two new water features.

The hotel opened in 1985.
