Hard Rock has opened the Hard Rock Hotel London, the brand's
first U.K. hotel.
The 900-room property is located near Hyde Park, at the
corner of Oxford Street and Park Lane. The hotel is housed in a historic
building that previously was home to the original Hard Rock Cafe, which was
founded in London in 1971.
A variety of music memorabilia is showcased throughout the
property, including a 1958 letter written by Buddy Holly and a Kirkwood piano
that Queen's Freddie Mercury practiced on as a teenager.
The property features a 370-seat Hard Rock Cafe, where
guests can enjoy daily live performances, and an outpost of the brand's Rock
Shop, which is stocked with Hard Rock merchandise and specialty items from local
artists. Several other food and beverage venues are on offer, including the
Rock Royalty Lounge and the lobby-level GMT Bar.
Other amenities include access to The Sound of Your Stay
music program, through which guests can utilize a complimentary Crosley
turntable or reserve a Fender guitar that can be played in-room with
accompanying headphones.
A fitness program, Rock Om, provides guests access to
complimentary yoga mats and in-room video yoga instruction.
