Caesars Entertainment has rebranded Nevada's Harveys Lake Tahoe as the Caesars Republic Lake Tahoe, marking the second location for the company's Caesars Republic lifestyle brand.
The reflag includes a $160 million renovation project, which is expected be complete by next year.
Caesars introduced the Caesars Republic brand in 2019 as a nongaming concept, but a spokesperson for Caesars said this week that it "continues to evolve and will vary regarding gaming based on the market."
In other words, the resort -- which is the oldest ongoing casino operation at Lake Tahoe, according to the Lake Tahoe South Shore Chamber of Commerce -- isn't losing its gaming facilities. In fact, as part of the refurb project's initial phase, the property's 88,000-square-foot casino floor has been updated to include high-limit lounges. The lounges join around 100 table games and 750 slots, as well as the Caesars Race & Sportsbook.
The resort has unveiled new exterior signage and completed a revamp of its Remus Tower, which was formerly known as the Mountain Tower. The Remus Tower now houses fully redesigned guest rooms.
Other available accommodations include The Villas at Caesars Republic, billed as a new collection of multiroom suites with butler service.
It also now operates several new dining concepts, including outposts of Gordon Ramsay's Hell's Kitchen and Wolf by Vanderpump, as well as Cleo's Coffee & Cocktails, described as a dual-concept venue that functions as a cafe during the day and cocktail lounge at night.
Additional transformation phases are planned to begin this fall.
Caesars Republic's first property, the Caesars Republic Scottsdale, made its debut in Arizona early last year.
