Longtime hotel executive Jerry Gibson has been named Hilton’s area vice president of Hawaii and managing director of the Hilton Hawaiian Village Beach Resort & Spa.

Gibson replaces Gary Seibert, who retired earlier this year during a management shakeup that included the departure of two other longtime Hilton Hawaii managers: Noel Trainor, general manager of the Hilton Hawaiian Village, and Dieter Seeger, general manager of Hilton Waikoloa Village.

Gibson will have operational responsibility for all of Hilton’s owned and managed properties in the Hawaiian Islands, including two of Hilton’s largest campuses: the Hilton Hawaiian Village and Hilton Waikoloa Village.

Gibson brings nearly three decades of experience working at four- and five-star Hyatt resorts and hotels across the U.S. He most recently served as vice president and managing director of the 2,019-room Hyatt Regency Chicago and assisted in the management of 25 hotels in the U.S. central region.
