Hyatt is planning to launch two lifestyle hotels in California, with the Alila Napa Valley set to open in mid-March and the Thompson Hollywood to follow in the spring.
Formerly the Las Alcobas Napa Valley, the Alila Napa Valley in St. Helena will officially join the Hyatt fold on March 1. The property, which has been temporarily shuttered in response to California's stay-at-home orders, plans to reopen and make its debut under the Alila flag on March 15.
All guestrooms at the 68-room, adults-only hotel will feature oversize balconies or wraparound terraces with fireplaces. Select accommodations will also feature outdoor bathtubs.

The Alila Napa Valley will house restaurant and bar concept Acacia House as well as a revamped spa and fitness center, an outdoor pool and event and meeting space, among other amenities.
The property will be Hyatt's third Alila outpost in California, joining the Ventana Big Sur, an Alila Resort and the new Alila Marea Beach Resort Encinitas, which is set to open March 3.
Hyatt is also gearing up for the opening of the 190-room Thompson Hollywood in Los Angeles. The property is part of a revitalization project spearheaded by developer Relevant Group, which plans to transform the area between Hollywood and Sunset boulevards and Schrader Boulevard and Vine Street into what the company has dubbed the Vinyl District.
The Thompson Hollywood will feature two restaurants, a rooftop pool deck and lounge, fitness amenities and 15,000 square feet of event and meetings space.
The property will be the Thompson brand's first California outpost.
Hyatt, which added both the Thompson and Alila brands to its stable with its 2018 acquisition of Two Roads Hospitality, has remained aggressive in expansion of its lifestyle portfolio throughout the pandemic.
