Hyatt to operate large convention hotel in Seattle

The Hyatt Regency Seattle, expected to open in 2018, will be the Pacific Northwest's largest hotel.

The 1,260-room Hyatt Regency Seattle will be located in the city’s Denny Triangle district, two blocks from the Washington State Convention Center and adjacent to the proposed convention center expansion. The hotel will have a Regency Club lounge as well as more than 100,000 square feet of meeting space.

The property is being developed by R.C Hedreen Co., which also owns the Grand Hyatt Seattle and the Hyatt at Olive 8 in downtown Seattle.

The Hyatt Regency Seattle will unseat the 1,236-room Sheraton Seattle as the region’s largest hotel.
