Marriott International plans to open its second JW Marriott luxury safari lodge in Africa, which will be located within Tanzania's Serengeti National Park.

Expected to open in 2026, the property will comprise 30 suites, including two presidential suites each with its own private swimming pool and deck area.

The lodge will offer what Marriott describes as "extensive" food, beverage and meeting facilities.

For international visitors, the lodge will be accessible via a flight into Kilimanjaro International Airport, followed by a domestic flight to an airstrip in Serengeti or an eight-hour drive.

Marriott opened its first JW Marriott lodge in Africa, the JW Marriott Masai Mara Lodge in Kenya's Masai Mara National Reserve, earlier this year.
