Starting in July, select Kimpton hotels in the U.S., Canada and the Caribbean will offer complimentary children's scooter rentals at the front desk.
The program, launched in partnership with scooter company Micro Kickboard, is initially rolling out at 30 Kimpton hotels, including the Kimpton Muse in New York, Kimpton Hotel Wilshire in Los Angeles, Kimpton Hotel Palomar South Beach in Miami Beach and Kimpton Gray in Chicago.
Guests at participating properties will have access to free rentals of Micro Kickboard's Mini Deluxe and Maxi Deluxe kick scooters, which are designed for children ages 2 to 5 and ages 5 to 12, respectively. Toddler and youth helmets from helmet supplier Nutcase will also be available.
The scooters, which feature a custom design and color scheme created by the Kimpton team, can be purchased via the brand's Kimpton Style online retail platform for a limited time.
According to Kimpton, the Micro Kickboard partnership marks the first time a major hotel brand has offered children's kick scooter rentals as an amenity.
To highlight the program's launch, Kimpton is offering savings of up to 20% when booking a stay at any of the 30 participating hotels.
