Anguilla's Malliouhana Resort is going independent, announcing plans to part ways with Auberge Resorts Collection, effective April 1.

Management of the 63-room property will be taken over by Storey Hotel Management Group. Auberge has operated Malliouhana since 2014.

Malliouhana's general manager, George Vlachopoulos, and director of sales, Miguel Carrillo, will remain in their current roles.

Situated along Anguilla's west end, the 63-room Malliouhana has been a luxury mainstay on the island since the 1980s.

Malliouhana's move to leave the Auberge network mirrors the recent departure of another former Auberge property, the Nanuku Resort in Fiji. The Nanuku cut ties with Auberge early last year, also tapping Storey Hotel Management Group to take over operations.
