Mandarin Oriental has set an Oct. 20 opening date for its first hotel in Austria, the Mandarin Oriental, Vienna.
The hotel is housed in a restored 1908 Art Nouveau building that was once a courthouse. It is located within Vienna's First District historic city center.
The 138-room hotel will have 86 rooms and 52 suites as well as four dining venues. These include Le Sept, a seafood-forward, fine-dining restaurant; the all-day Atelier 7 - Brasserie, also with a focus on seafood and fish dishes; the Viennese coffeehouse-inspired Atelier 7 - Cafe; and Atelier 7 - Izakaya, a bar showcasing cocktails made with Japanese and other Asian ingredients.
The Spa at Mandarin Oriental will offer a range of holistic treatments, including Mandarin Oriental's signature wellness therapies as well as rituals inspired by local tradition. The facility has seven treatment rooms (including a couple's suite), a spacious indoor pool, a fitness center and a VIP treatment area.
For events and meetings, the hotel offers seven multifunctional boardrooms and a ballroom.
