Marriott International's Moxy Hotels select-service brand will enter Japan by the end of the year with openings in Tokyo and Osaka.
The Moxy Tokyo Kinshicho will have 205 rooms and will be located in the city's historic district. The hotel will feature an "industrial chic" design scheme to complement Moxy amenities such as free WiFi and active communal areas.
The Moxy Osaka Honmachi has 155 rooms and will be located near that city's Namba shopping district.
Both hotels are conversions from office buildings.
Moxy debuted in 2014 and is one of Marriot's three "distinct select" brands, along with AC Hotels and Aloft. There are 10 Moxy properties worldwide, with plans to add more.
