Marriott International is adding Blue Diamond Resorts' Mystique Holbox by Royalton in Mexico to its Tribute Portfolio.
The property is located on the island of Holbox, just north of the Yucatan Peninsula, and includes 38 guestrooms and two restaurants.
The Mystique Holbox by Royalton is currently offering on-site Covid-19 antigen testing as well as complimentary medical assistance coverage, which promises to cover the cost of any accidents or illness, including Covid-related medical needs.
Marriott had previously announced a long-term joint venture with
Sunwing Travel Group's Blue Diamond Resorts in February to transition 19 Blue Diamond all-inclusives to its
Autograph Collection soft brand this year. The Mystique Holbox by Royalton, however, is not an all-inclusive and is not included in that group.
The expansion of Marriott's Tribute Portfolio and Autograph Collection come as the company's soft brands enjoy a period of robust growth throughout the pandemic.
