Nashville building to be converted to Unbound Collection hotel

|

Hyatt Hotels and HRI Properties will convert Nashville’s James Robertson building to a hotel that will be a part of Hyatt’s new Unbound Collection.

Hyatt and HRI will spend about $50 million converting the property, which was built as the James Robertson Hotel in 1929. It was converted to an apartment building in 1978. The building is listed on the National Registry of Historic Places.

Once completed, the downtown Nashville hotel will have 191 guestrooms and a rooftop bar. It will be located next to the Nashville Convention Center and three blocks form Music City Center.

Hyatt launched the Unbound Collection earlier this year. The group currently has five hotels, including Miami Beach’s Confidante and the Driskill in Austin, Texas.
