The James luxury-boutique brand
will reflag the Carlton Hotel in New York after the Flatiron
District property is upgraded this summer.
The James New York NoMad will have
344 rooms, including 28 suites, and will feature a food and beverage program
headed by LDV Hospitality, whose restaurant brands include American
Cut and Scarpetta. The hotel will remain open during its transformation.
Located at East 29th Street and
Madison Avenue, the Beaux
Arts-designed hotel, which is currently part of Marriott International's
Autograph Collection, opened in 1904 as Hotel Seville.
Hotel operator Denihan Hospitality also runs the James New York SoHo and will open a James hotel in West
Hollywood, Calif., in May.
