Actor Robert De Niro and his Nobu Hospitality group have announced an early 2026 opening for the Nobu Beach Inn on the Caribbean island of Barbuda.
The 400-acre project sits along two miles of beach on Barbuda's southwest coast. The resort is a collaboration between De Niro, luxury hotelier Daniel Shamoon and Australian billionaire James Packer. The site is co-located with the existing Nobu Barbuda restaurant.
The Nobu Beach Inn will feature 36 rooms spread across 17 bungalow cottages. The development also has a residential component, with pre-sales underway for 25 beachfront lots for villas.
In addition to the Nobu restaurant, the property will feature several other dining concepts as well as a beachfront spa, open-air gym and yoga facilities. Guests will be able to opt for customized experiences, including sailing expeditions, picnics and marine biology sessions.
Nobu Hospitality is an offshoot of the Nobu restaurant concept launched by De Niro, chef and restaurateur Nobu Matsuhisa and film producer Meir Teper in the 1990s. The hospitality business has 40-plus hotels open and under development.
