Poipu Beach Hotel reopens in Kauai

Closed since Hurricane Iniki struck Kauai in 1992, Koa Kea Hotel & Resort, formerly Poipu Beach Hotel, reopened April 9.

One of the oldest hotels on Kauai, Koa Kea's multimillion-dollar renovation has repositioned the property as a boutique hotel with a new pool area, spa, beach bar, refurbished guestrooms and brand-new suites. Peter Vincent Architects, a firm based in Honolulu, worked to modernize the property's amenities while maintaining its traditional Hawaiian charm.

Owned by Florida-based CTF Hotels & Resorts, the Koa Kea, which fronts Poipu Beach on southern Kauai, is offering an Isle See You at Poipu package including a nightly rate of $299 (regularly $445) in its gardenview rooms through June 30.
