Atlantis Paradise Island in the Bahamas has begun a $20 million renovation of the 694-room Coral Towers.

Guestrooms will be renovated in the first phase, which is expected to be completed next spring. The tower will be renamed The Corals Atlantis.

“This renovation marks a significant step in our long-term vision for Atlantis,” said Paul Burke, president and managing director. “Atlantis consists of five unique hotels from the ultra-luxury of The Cove Atlantis to the casual atmosphere of the Beach Tower. The new elements and offerings at The Corals will appeal to our group customers as well as couples and young adults.”

The Corals is steps away from the Atlantis marina, shopping, the Atlantis casino and the resort’s conference center.

During the first phase of renovations, some rooms will remain open. The second renovation phase, a lobby transformation and new dining concepts, is expected to begin early next year.
