Rocco Forte Hotels will take over management of the former Hotel Le Palme in Sardinia.

Located on northern Sardinia's Costa Smeralda, the property is being redeveloped and is expected to open in 2024 as as a new resort. The name of the resort hasn't been revealed.

Upon completion, the resort will have 64 rooms and suites as well as three restaurants, a rooftop bar, a spa and meeting and event space.

The Costa Smeralda resort will expand Rocco Forte's Italian footprint, which includes properties in Rome, Florence, Sicily and Puglia.

The company plans to debut in Milan with the Carlton Milano hotel as well as an outpost of its Rocco Forte House residential-style accommodations. Both are on track to debut in 2024.

In total, Rocco Forte Hotels has 14 luxury properties across Italy, Belgium, Germany, the U.K. and Russia.
