SBE Entertainment Group confirmed that its SLS Hotel South Beach in Miami will open by the end of the month.
SBE is working with architect Philippe Starck on what was once the Ritz Plaza Hotel. Chef Jose Andres will oversee one of the property’s restaurants, while musician Lenny Kravitz is designing the hotel’s penthouse suite as well as one of the 10 bungalows by the property’s swimming pool.
SBE also is redeveloping the Sahara Hotel & Casino at the north end of the Las Vegas Strip. The 1,720-room Sahara closed last May.
