SBE, the parent company of the SLS lifestyle hotel brand, has hired former Starwood Hotels & Resorts executive Jorge Giannattasio as its chief operating officer.
Giannattasio will help oversee a stable of hotel properties that more than doubled last month when SBE completed its $805 million acquisition of Morgans Hotel Group, whose lifestyle brands include Mondrian and Delano.
Giannattasio was previously with Starwood, having joined the company in 2004 and most recently served as the company's senior vice president of Latin America and Caribbean operations.
