Shangri-La Hotels to operate two properties new in Macau

HONG KONG -- Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts signed a management agreement with the developer Venetian Macau Ltd. to operate the 500-room Shangri-La Hotel, Macau, and the 1,000-room Traders Hotel, Macau.

Both properties, located on the Cotai Strip -- 20 minutes from downtown and a few minutes from the airport -- are set to open in 2008.

Both hotels will be housed in a 39-story tower that also will include a casino, a performance hall and a shopping mall.
