Events producer Sam Gelin has opened the Made Hotel, a boutique property in New York's NoMad neighborhood at Broadway and 29th Street.

The hotel describes itself as "an inclusive urban hub, cosmopolitan and dynamic, fueled by New York's sensory cacophony, yet laser focused on its place as warm retreat from the busy streets." The daily rate starts at $350 for a standard king room.

The hotel's 109 guestrooms have touches such as bronze shelving, hand-woven fabrics,  polished stainless-steel mirrors and hand-carved benches.

The hotel's food and beverage program is headed by Greg Proechel, formerly of French restaurant Le Turtle, and ex-Major Food Group executive Charles Seich. Proechel and Seich's restaurant is called Ferris, serving cuisine with a "balance between rustic and refined."

The 18th floor rooftop bar is called Good Behavior, the coffee shop Paper.

Gelin heads Craft Hospitality, which produces events such as the NYC Craft Distillers Fest and the Chicago Wine Fest.
