Thompson Hotels founders to rebrand properties as Sixty Hotels

|

The founders of Thompson Hotels, who retained control of four properties after selling their 50% stake in Commune Hotels & Resorts, will rebrand those properties as Sixty Hotels in January.

Brothers Jason, Michael and Larry Pomeranc and former Commune Hotels CEO Stephen Brandman are naming their boutique hospitality company Sixty Collective, in reference to the 60 Thompson hotel in New York.

In addition to the New York property, Sixty Hotels will include what’s now the Thompson LES and 6 Columbus in New York, as well as the Thompson Beverly Hills.

The Thompson founders sold their 50% stake of Commune Hotels & Resorts to John Pritzker in August.
