Six hotels in Mexico will convert to IHG Hotels & Resorts' upscale Voco brand, growing Voco's Mexico portfolio to 10 properties.

The deal is in partnership with the properties' owner, Alliance Hotels. The hotels are in Cancun, Guadalajara, Ciudad Juarez, San Luis Potosi, Torreon and Nuevo Laredo, comprising a total of 848 rooms.

Individual room counts range from 120 rooms at the Voco Nuevo Laredo to 163 rooms at the Voco Guadalajara Expo Area. The 160-room Voco Cancun is a business-focused hotel in the city's hotel district.

The conversions are expected to happen in 2027 following property renovations. IHG said updates will include the addition of Voco's "vibrant social spaces."

Voco' Mexico footprint will ultimately grow to 15 properties, as there are five hotels in the pipeline.

Launched by IHG in 2018, Voco had grown to 107 hotels by the end of June.
