The former Grand Hotel Europa in Prague will be redeveloped
into a W hotel, slated to open in 2020.
The 112-year-old building will be rehabbed and the façade will
be restored. Plus, an oval-shaped extension will be built onto the original
building.
The Grand Hotel Europa closed in 2013.
The W Prague will have 154 guestrooms and a rooftop bar.
Marriott International plans to increase the number of W hotels
to 75 in 2020. The lifestyle brand currently has 50 hotels.
