On the back of a successful launch year, 18 new trips have
been added to National Geographic Journeys with G Adventures for 2017, bringing
to 83 the number of tours on offer by the joint venture between National
Geographic and G Adventures.
The National Geographic Journeys with G Adventures tours,
which are lower-priced tours than National Geographic Expeditions and National
Geographic Adventures, started this year. National Geographic Journeys range
from $2,000 to $7,000 per trip.
“The success of this product in its premiere year has far
surpassed our hopes,” said Jeff Russill, G Adventures’ vice president of
product.
National Geographic Journeys are limited to 16 travelers per
departure, and offer travelers the opportunity to connect with communities and
cultures. National Geographic Journeys travelers also have access to National
Geographic projects and resources.
“Over the past year, we’ve been thrilled to see how this new
line of trips has resonated with all kinds of travelers, in particular younger
travelers seeking an authentic way to connect with another part of the world,”
stated Lynn Cutter, executive vice president of National Geographic Travel.
The 18 new tours for 2017 were made available for sale this
week, with departures beginning in April.
