Maverick Helicopters has announced the addition of two tours, the Skywalk Odyssey and Silver Cloud Sunset excursions.
Both new sightseeing expeditions depart from the company's Las Vegas Strip location, at 6075 Las Vegas Blvd. South, and offer unique views of Southern Nevada, Arizona and the Grand Canyon along with in-flight narration by one of Maverick's experienced and knowledgeable pilots.
For the Skywalk Odyssey, passengers board one of Maverick's Eco-Star helicopters for a bird's-eye view of the Strip, Lake Las Vegas, Lake Mead and Hoover Dam as they venture to the Grand Canyon's west rim. Upon landing at the canyon, visitors can visit the Grand Canyon Skywalk.
The Skywalk features a glass-bottom walking surface that extends approximately 70 feet from the edge of the canyon rim and is suspended more than 4,000 feet above the Colorado River.
The Skywalk Odyssey is priced at $489 and includes expedited admission to the Grand Canyon Skywalk.
The Silver Cloud Sunset is perfect for the time-conscious traveler. This air-only excursion takes passengers high above the Strip and through the Grand Canyon in about three hours.
Additional highlights from the Silver Cloud Sunset experience include Hoover Dam, Lake Mead, Lake Las Vegas and, as the name suggests, an aerial view of a desert sunset.
The Silver Cloud Sunset excursion is priced at $389.
Maverick Helicopters, recently named 2010 SNHCA Choice Award winner by the Southern Nevada Hotel Concierge Association, offers a wide variety of tours perfect for Las Vegas visitors and locals alike.
