Mike Ness, former CEO
of The Travel Corporation, has died.
Ness held several
executive roles within The Travel Corporation, including as managing director
of Trafalgar and as CEO of the company, a position from which he retired in
late 2010. Ness remained as a director of The Travel Corporation until he
passed away.
“I am extremely
saddened to advise of the passing of our dear friend and esteemed colleague,
Mike Ness, who was a mainstay of the travel industry. His drive, tenacity and
vision for the company throughout our five decades of working together were a
vital component in creating the success that [The Travel Corporation] is
today,” said Stanley Tollman, founder and chairman of the company.
