Buffalo Tours, part of Vietnamese travel and hospitality company Thien Minh Group (TMG), has opened its first U.S. office, in Mill Valley, Calif.
Buffalo Tours offers customized, privately guided and group tours, accommodations, transfers, flights, cruises, day trips and excursions in Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand and Myanmar.
The company was founded in 1994 by Tran Trong Kien and has 11 offices in Southeast Asia, Australia, the U.K. and now the U.S. Within the next two years, Buffalo Tours hopes to launch operations in Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, China and Japan.
Buffalo Tours is part of the Thien Minh Group, which has three main business divisions: travel (operating tours and transportation services under the Buffalo Tours brand); hospitality (which includes ownership of Victoria Hotels & Resorts and EMM Hotels & Resorts); and online (hotel booking website iVIVU.com). The company brings approximately 90,000 tourists to Southeast Asia each year and hosts more than 200,000 hotel guests in its hotels annually. TMG currently owns 11 hotels with over 780 rooms in Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia and has more than 2,000 employees.
