ASTA has released a list of supplier partners offering special benefits for advisors who have completed ASTA's Verified Travel Advisor (VTA) certification.
The suppliers "have committed a historic level of support for member advisors who complete the VTA certification," ASTA said.
To become a VTA, advisors need to meet a set of standards that ASTA stiffened last year.
Silversea Cruises was the first supplier to offer VTAs bonus commission starting late last year. They receive a $100 one-time bonus commission on its classic sailings or a $200 one-time bonus commission on expedition sailings.
A number of other suppliers have committed to benefits for VTAs.
Amadeus River Cruises is offering a $140 bonus commission per individual booking, plus a selection of welcome amenities for the advisor or their client. The cruise line is also offering a one-time $140 bonus commission per group booking, plus a highlight dinner for the group.
AmaWaterways is offering a $100 bonus commission per booking.
Collette is offering the chance to travel on a select tour for $100 per night after completing Collette University; VTAs will get a 10% discount per client for their first booking.
The Globus family of brands (Globus, Cosmos, Avalon Waterways) is offering a $100 bonus commission per booking.
Riviera Travel is offering a $100 bonus commission per cabin on any new booking.
Scenic and Emerald Cruises are offering a $100 one-time bonus commission on any new booking made in 2025.
Windstar Cruises is offering a $150 bonus commission per booking.
Additionally, both Scenic Cruises and AmaWaterways are hosting VTA-specific fam trips this year.
The VTA program is sponsored by Collette and Virgin Voyages.
ASTA thanked consortia and host agency partners supporting its efforts. Signature Travel Network, for instance, is underwriting VTA costs for some members and subsidizing the program for the rest. Nexion Travel Group and MAST Travel Network are also underwriting support for VTA hopefuls.
