Rail Europe sweetened the benefits for travel agents who
take its France training course, offering coupons of $65 for use on bookings
that include a France Rail Pass this spring.
Agents receive the coupon when they complete the France Rail
Expert TRAC module and pass the exam by April 28. They must use the coupon by
May 31.
Melanie Albaric, Rail Europe communications manager, said in
an email interview that the promotion is aimed at boosting agent participation
in Rail Europe TRAC (short for the Rail Agent Course) and its France module.
“Agents will learn about the best products available to suit
their clients' needs, review rail maps and learn more about Rail Europe's
unique agent tools and resources,” Albaric said.
In addition to the module for France, there are two other
modules, Switzerland Rail Expert and European Rail Expert, which provide
in-depth agent training.
“Travelers look to travel agents for their expert knowledge
on a variety of travel products, and the TRAC modules provide agents confidence
to help their clients plan the trip of their dreams,” Albaric said.
The TRAC modules are online courses that agents study at
their own pace and from anywhere before taking the certification exam.
The France module was introduced in February 2014 with
online course materials specific to rail in France. It covers the national rail
network of France, including high-speed TGV trains that connect Paris to more
than 200 cities.
Agents who have previously passed the France TRAC module
exam are also eligible to receive the $65 coupon. They should contact [email protected] to request a
coupon code.
Agents also earn continuing education units from the Travel
Institute for completing the TRAC modules.
