LAS VEGAS -- Sabre
Holdings is consolidating two of its units, the agency consortium
Jurni Network and TRAMS Marketing Advantage, to create a division
called TRAMS Marketing Alliance.
TRAMS, better known
as the vendor of the eponymous accounting system and the ClientBase
CRM product, two years ago introduced TRAMS Marketing Advantage, an
e-mail marketing tool now used by about 1,700 agency subscribers,
according to TRAMS President Lee Rosen.
Subscribers place
customer data in a single database for large, targeted-marketing
campaigns, in cooperation with industry suppliers, in much the same
way members of several trade groups attempt to harness their
customer profiles for targeted-marketing purposes.
Meanwhile, Scott
Koepf, general manager of Jurni Network, said that Jurni had
assumed a stronger marketing focus. Since TRAMS already has an
electronic marketing tool, it was decided the entities should be
merged, he said.
The effect will be
to phase out the operation of Jurni as an agency consortium by the
end of this year and convert its members into subscribers to the
services of the new TRAMS Marketing Alliance.
Koepf said he did
not expect all 300 Jurni members to make the switch to TRAMS
Marketing Alliance because not all are TRAMS Marketing Advantage
users.
