The Caribe Hilton reopened May 15 following a $150 million restoration project that included a top-to-bottom makeover of its 652 rooms, food-and-beverage concepts, fitness center, spa, tennis center and event space.

The hotel had been closed to guests since the 2017 hurricanes.

"The reopening of the Caribe Hilton is one more symbol that Puerto Rico is back in business," said Pablo Torres, the hotel's general manager.

The historical property (the birthplace of the pina colada) opened in 1949, and it has 70th anniversary celebrations planned for this year.

To celebrate the reopening, the One Night on US program offers a complimentary third night when two are booked. Travel must be booked by June 30 for travel by Dec. 20.
