Orvis, the Vermont-based fly fishing outfitter, will offer guided fishing trips to Cuba later this year and is reportedly the first major U.S. sporting company to do business in Cuba.

In addition to exploring Cuba's rarely fished saltwater flats, clients will  meet with Cuban artists, musicians and historians to comply with the requirements of people-to-people programs.

Trip details include two nights in Havana and five nights in Playa Larga with guided fly-fishing in Cienaga de Zapata Park, approximately 90 miles southeast of Havana on the island's south coast.

Departures are Oct. 14, priced at $6,150 per angler, double; and Nov. 13 and Dec. 3, priced at $7,150 per angler, double. Additional departures are slated for 2017.
