JetBlue is offering Aruba travelers the ability to conduct a preflight Covid test, the latest airline to partner with a private company to roll out passenger testing.
The JetBlue version is a supervised, at-home, saliva-based test through Vault, its testing partner, as an option to the PCR test required up until now.
The
test offers a quick turnaround on results and is administered via an
online video connection with a test supervisor who helps ensure the
customer is providing the sample properly.
The sample is overnighted to a laboratory for processing within 72 hours.
American Airlines has announced partnerships for pre-flight testing on service to Grenada, St. Lucia and Belize, although earlier partnerships with the Bahamas and Jamaica have not yet been finalized. Several airlines are also offering pre-flight testing to Hawaii.
