The former Grenadian by Rex resort in Grenada, now called the Starfish Resort, will close in April for a major refurbishment and will reopen as the all-inclusive Royalton Grenada in December.

"We will renovate the entire property and add another 60 rooms to bring the total inventory to 300 rooms," said Stephen Hunter, CEO of the Sunwing Travel Group, whose affiliate, Blue Diamond Resorts, operates Royalton Resorts.

The new Royalton will feature a spa, eight restaurants, keyless room entry, unlimited reservation-free dining and a health and wellness program.

Guests can opt to upgrade to Diamond Club accommodations with butler service.

Royalton currently has properties in Antigua, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica and St. Lucia as well as Mexico.
