The Royalton St. Lucia Resort & Spa has closed its doors through March 31, according to an announcement from Canadian parent company Blue Diamond Resorts.

The company said that "the momentary closure is due to a combination of the continuous spread of Covid-19 across the U.S. and the U.K and the lack of international visitors."

The property had reopened to guests last October, following a closure since last spring when all borders shut down.

Blue Diamond said that guests could keep their current reservation and relocate to its  newest boutique resort, Mystique St. Lucia by Royalton.

Other options include rescheduling for a later date, changing free of charge to any Blue Diamond Resort in Cancun, Punta Cana, Jamaica, Antigua or Costa Rica or canceling without penalty.
