Sandals Resorts International has extended its Cancellation Protection Benefit and Travel Protection Plan -- Insurance Is On Us to bookings made through Feb. 28 for travel through Aug. 31.
The travel insurance plan, which is powered by Trip Mate, covers an extension of a guest's stay if a quarantine is required, and guests receive any necessary medical treatment for up to 14 nights; medical benefits and coverage is provided up to $100,000 per guest at no additional cost.
The cancellation benefit, provided by Unique Vacations Inc., allows guests who cancel at least 31 days before arrival to receive a full refund on the land portion with zero penalties.
Guests who cancel 30 to 15 days before their arrival receive a combination of a 50% refund and a 50% travel certificate for travel to any Sandals or Beaches resort within 12 months.
Those who cancel within 14 days and up to day of arrival receive a travel certificate valid for 12 months from the original travel date.
Sandals and Beaches also provide complimentary Covid-19 testing to all registered guests prior to their departure.
