When the Carnival Celebration makes its debut in November, the ship will feature the Golden Jubilee bar and lounge, a nod to Carnival Cruise Line's 50th anniversary this year.

Carnival said the Golden Jubilee "will highlight Carnival's evolution of ships over the last 50 years, weaving its past with its present and looking to the future."

The Golden Jubilee will be on Deck 6, in the same location as the Brass Magnolia on Mardi Gras, the first ship in Carnival's Excel class. The bar and lounge will feature artwork, memorabilia and original pieces from Carnival's earlier vessels, such as:

• Reproductions of blueprints depicting the evolution of Carnival's Fun Ships, surrounding a brass chandelier. These include hand-drawn designs by architect Joe Farcus.

• Chairs recreated from TSS Carnivale's Riverboat Lounge paired with cocktail tables from the Carnival Fascination's Hollywood Boulevard. The tables will be adorned with signed sketches representing movie classics by caricaturist Al Hirschfeld. The Carnivale ocean liner sailed for Carnival from 1975 to 1993, and the Fascination from 2007 to 2020.

• The original 17-by-7-foot partition wall from the casino of TSS Mardi Gras, a ship that sailed for Carnival from 1972 to 1993. The wall features etched glass, nickel, mahogany and 24 windowpanes. On the Celebration, the wall will separate the bar from the promenade.

• Original decorative etchings of musical instruments as well as polished brass and glass nightclub doors from TSS Carnivale. These will frame one of the Golden Jubiulee's entrances.

• The original bronze statue of Carnival founder Ted Arison and Finnish shipbuilder Martin Saarikangas, given as a gift from the Kvaerner Masa-Yards to the line upon delivery of the Carnival Sensation in Helsinki, Finland, in 1993.

• Reproductions of hand-drawn sketches by Farcus blended into mirrors, offering guests a glimpse into moments like the Carnival Fascination's naming ceremony and the Carnival Inspiration's first transit of the Panama Canal.

• Floor tiles surrounding the bar that feature a stylized maple leaf pattern reminiscent of the maple leaf design motif from the grand ballroom on TSS Mardi Gras. The maple leaf design carried over from the ship's former life as the Empress of Canada for Canadian Pacific Line.

• Mirror inserts integrated into the bar front and bottle display inspired by the etched glass inserts of TSS Carnivale's main lobby doors.

The Golden Jubilee will also have round windows instead of square, reminiscent of the portholes on the line's original ships, to create an ambience similar to the classic cruise ship bar and lounge, Carnival said. The bar will have a stage for live music and a dance floor.

Classic cocktails and a porthole diorama

The bar menu will feature an early version of line's logo introduced in the 1970s. Offerings will include vintage cocktails such as the Harvey Wallbanger and Tom Collins, "reimagined in Carnival's own unique style with premium ingredients and elevated presentations," Carnival said.

The adjacent promenade will depict Carnival's history. A porthole gallery installation will tell the Fun Ships story through a series of six decorative porthole windows featuring three-dimensional dioramas for each of the five decades of Carnival's history and one representing the company today and in the future.

An original 1955 vintage engine telegraph from TSS Carnivale will be permanently set to a "full ahead" sign. Coins for every ship in the fleet, both past and present, will be embedded into the promenade's floor design.
