Royal Caribbean has postponed the debut of Star of the Seas, the cruise line's second Icon-class ship.

The ship, currently under construction at the Meyer Turku yard in Finland, will be delivered later than anticipated, said a Royal Caribbean spokesperson.

Because of that anticipated delay, Royal Caribbean has canceled the cruises that were slated to depart on Aug. 17 and Aug. 24, 2025.

The new date for the Star's maiden cruise is now, Aug. 31, 2025. The ship will sail from Port Canaveral year-round.

Guests booked on the canceled cruises can book another ship or move to the Star's first and second sailings on Aug. 31 and Sept. 7.
