Room Mate Hotels, a chain founded by Spanish entrepreneur Kike Sarasola, has opened its first hotel in France.
The 50-room Room Mate Alain, located in Paris’ 16th arrondissement, brings the number of Room Mate properties to 25, with another 11 set to open in the next 18 months.
The hotel, which is less than a 10-minute walk from the Champs-Elysees, was created by the interior designer Lorenzo Castillo, whose use of pink, black and gold was inspired by the late French designer Coco Chanel.
The property features Le Bar d’Alain, a ground-floor cocktail bar serving cocktails, wines and small bites, as well as a fitness center and a fully-equipped spa offering treatments and a hammam, or Turkish bath.
Amenities include breakfast until noon and WiMate, which offers free WiFi not just in the hotel but in the entire city.
