The Royal Hideaway Corales Villas on Tenerife is gearing up to open in March.

Located in the quieter south of the largest of the Canary Islands, above the village of La Caleta, the five-star, newbuild property will offer privacy and views of the ocean.

The 139 accommodations will include Junior Suites, some of which feature a swim-up pool, and suites and villas with private pools.

Designed by Leonardo Omar and KStudio, the decor takes inspiration from the volcanic surroundings and from Teide National Park by blending into the environment through a neutral color palette.

Guests will be able to cook in their own kitchenettes or take advantage of such hotel services as bars and restaurants, kids and teens clubs, a wellness area and a gym.

Crater restaurant will feature seasonal menus, and the wellness area will offer treatments by Augustinus Bader as well as customized, holistic wellness programs.

Correction: The opening date for the Royal Hideaway Corales Villas has changed from December to March. In addition, the hotel will have 139 guestrooms, not 114 as noted in an earlier version of this article.
