The L.A. Clippers, who held part of their 2017 training camp in Hawaii, have announced a return to the Aloha State for the 2018 preseason.

The NBA team will spend late September in Honolulu, holding training camp at the University of Hawaii. Full details and dates, including public events will be announced at a later date.

"The whole Clippers organization, from our players to our staff and our fans, really enjoyed our time in Hawaii last preseason, and we look forward to returning again next year," said Gillian Zucker, the team's president of business operations. "With the help of our partners at the Hawaii Tourism Authority, we are excited to give back to the local community, showcase the beauty of the islands and experience the true aloha spirit."

During the 2017 preseason, the Clippers spent 10 days in Hawaii, holding several community and fan events.

"This marketing partnership is ideal for both of our futures," said Leslie Dance, HTA vice president of marketing and product development. "The Clippers are one of the NBA's hottest teams with a growing fan base in Hawaii and across the Pacific, and the Hawaiian Islands is a favorite destination for travelers from Southern California."

The HTA entered into an official marketing partnership with the Clippers in late 2016, and the team recently held a "Hawaii Night" in Los Angeles with hula and ukulele performances and and special promotions.
