Condominium Connection, a travel wholesaler in Hawaii for the last 40 years, is winding down operations.

The last Condominium Connection guest finished their stay in Hawaii on March 16. According to a press release, the company was no longer economically viable and rather than risk ending 2017 in the red, the company chose to close.

"The company had been profitable every year for 40 years, including the final year.  However, the company could not project a profit for year 41 and decided to wind down with integrity," the release states.

Condominium Connection, opened in 1977, was a travel wholesaler in Hawaii with ties to 125 condominiums and hotels on the Islands. The company specialized in customized travel packages and personalized service.

The company incrementally dismantled operations, with an eye toward honoring booked reservations and creating a smooth transition for employees and clients. All travel agent commissions and Hawaii properties were paid in full, and all current and former employees secured new employment, according to the release.
