Hawaii resumes quarantine requirement for interisland travelers

Hawaii will partially reinstate its interisland travel quarantine starting Aug. 11, Gov. David Ige announced.

The requirement had been lifted in June, but citing a recent resurgence of Covid-19 cases on Oahu, the state will resume requiring a 14-day quarantine for travelers arriving in the counties of Kauai, Hawaii, Maui and Kalawao.

The interisland quarantine will be in effect through at least Aug. 31.
