Hawaii regional carrier Island Air has announced plans to spend $60.9 million on two 71-passenger Q400 NextGen aircraft from Bombardier Aerospace’s Toronto facility.

The interisland airline, purchased by Oracle CEO Larry Ellison in 2013, has an option to buy four additional Q400s.

Island Air’s announcement came on March 31, the same day Mesa Air Group operated its final Go Airlines interisland flights.

Island Air offers service between Oahu, Maui, Kauai and Lanai.
