The Kahala Hotel and Resort has promoted Joe Ibarra to general manager of the Oahu property.
Ibarra, who steps up from his previous role as resort manager, will now oversee the strategic direction, operations and financial performance of the 338-room luxury resort.
Ibarra originally joined the Kahala in 2014 as the director of front office and later served as director of rooms. He brings more than 15 years of hospitality experience to the position, previously serving in management positions at the JW Marriott Ihilani Resort and Spa.
