The Merriman family of restaurants is tapping guest chefs for two events to benefit the Hawaiian Islands Land Trust

On Nov. 17 at Merriman's in Kamuela, chef Andrew Le, of Honolulu's Pig and the Lady and Piggy Smalls, will craft a three-course menu highlighting Hawaii Island's fish, meat and produce.

Then, on Dec. 14, the party moves over to Kauai, where chef Mark Noguchi will prepare a three-course farm-to-table meal at Merriman's Fish House. Both restaurants are owned by Peter Merriman, a chef and restaurateur who is a member of the Hawaii Restaurant Association Hall of Fame and a champion of regional Hawaiian cuisine.

Both dinners are from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and will include live music. All proceeds from the events go to HILT, supporting its land conservation efforts in the state. The Hawaii Island benefit with Andrew Le costs $125 and the Kauai benefit with Mark Noguchi costs $99.
