A Malama Lanai Day Trip is now available for private group bookings. In collaboration with the Maui Visitors and Convention Bureau, Trilogy Excursions and Pulama Lanai, the one-day voluntourism opportunity takes visitors to the island of Lanai where they will participate in a conservation project.

"We are thrilled to continue this partnership with two organizations that embody being stewards of the land and providing this opportunity to the groups market," Sherry Duong, executive director of the Maui Visitors and Convention Bureau, said in a press release. "Whether you're visiting Maui for incentive travel or a conference, the Malama Lanai Day Trip has been created to share Lanai's culture with visitors through voluntourism activities."

Breakfast is included and groups will learn about the culture and ecology of the island. Following the conservation activity, the group will have time to visit Lanai City to shop at its boutiques and visit the Lanai Culture and Heritage Center. To book a private group reservation, call Trilogy at (888) 225-6284 and ask about the Malama Restoration Day excursion.
